The published service time is conditional

The Immigration Bureau's English retirement-extension public handbook was attempted again on 1 August 2026, but the official PDF returned a 403 response in this check. The earlier retirement-route 60-minute figure is therefore unconfirmed here and should not be treated as a current Jomtien promise. Other accessible official public handbooks describe a service clock that starts only after the receiving officer has inspected a complete application and is subject to the checkpoint's office hours, but that does not re-prove the retirement PDF's route-specific figure.

That published standard is for the retirement route described in that handbook. It is not evidence that every applicant will spend only that long at Jomtien, or that marriage, education or DTV cases share the same timeline.

Route-specific evidence matters

The Immigration Bureau's Thai/English marriage-extension checklist, reopened on 1 August 2026, shows that marriage cases have their own evidence and attendance requirements. A timing estimate cannot safely be transferred from a different extension category.

What the handbook clock leaves out

A public-handbook service standard describes the official processing steps after an application is accepted as complete. It does not measure travel to the office, waiting before document screening, time needed to replace missing evidence, a request for additional material, or a return appointment imposed by a route-specific process. Treat it as a service standard with a stated starting point, not as a door-to-door guarantee.

The retirement handbook also directs applicants to the Immigration checkpoint responsible for where they live. This matters because a standard published by the central agency does not prove a local queue pattern. Current local instructions should take priority over reports from another province or a past visit.

DTV timing is not re-proven here

Thai Immigration pages reopened on 1 August 2026 list specific DTV orders and operational guidance, including the DTV legal-material index. The public material reviewed for this update did not establish a Jomtien same-day promise, a bank-document shortcut or a fixed return-visit schedule. Those claims have been removed.

Questions to ask the responsible office

Ask whether your route requires an appointment, whether every named person must attend, which current checklist applies, whether originals and copies are both required, and when the passport is expected to be returned. Record the answer and the date of the contact. If the office points you to a newer order or checklist, use that document instead of this article.

If the response depends on facts such as your present permission, residence, sponsor, school, employer or family relationship, provide those facts accurately. A general question can produce an answer that does not fit the actual application.

What has been withdrawn

The reopened official sources do not verify the earlier hour-by-hour Jomtien schedule, weekday queue patterns, building assignments, parking and transport advice, clothing rules, local bank-letter validity, photocopy costs, lunch timetable, accessibility details, school-call practice, agent access, rapid TM30 recovery or route-specific same-day claims. All have been removed.
