Full guide: Re-entry permits complete guide · Jomtien queues

What the permit does

TM.8 is the Immigration Bureau application for permission to return to the Kingdom while preserving an existing visa or temporary stay permission. It does not create a new stay period. The current official service handbook says Immigration stamps the re-entry permission for the duration of the existing permitted stay.

Check the entry type and the permission-to-stay stamp in your own passport before travel. Do not infer the answer from the visa category name alone.

Single and multiple fees

These figures were rechecked on 1 August 2026 in the Immigration Bureau's English public handbook and in current Thai Immigration service material. A single permit covers one return; a multiple permit can be used more than once while the underlying stay permission remains valid.

Official document checklist

The Immigration Bureau's English public handbook lists:

Sign or certify the passport and card copies as the handbook directs. Local officers may ask for supporting material relevant to the passport or stay record, so check the responsible office before travelling.

Official processing sequence

Suvarnabhumi Airport's current AOT service page also lists re-entry as an airport Immigration service. Treat that listing as availability evidence, not a guarantee that an individual application will be completed before departure.

A 2025 Thai Immigration service guide describes the sequence as: complete TM.8, present the application and passport or travel document, pay the fee and receive a receipt, have the case recorded, receive the permit stamp for the remaining stay period, and collect the signed passport.

The guide gives task-level processing times for a complete checkpoint case, but those figures are not a promise of total queue time at Jomtien or any airport. This page therefore does not publish a Jomtien arrival time, same-day guarantee, or airport-counter availability claim.

Claims removed from this guide

Unverified Jomtien opening times, same-day guarantees, emergency-arrival advice, airport-counter availability, airline document checks, free replacement, and case-study outcomes have been removed. The official sources reopened for this review support the TM.8 form, documents, fees, process, and link to the existing stay period.
